Mr. Frank Torres serves as the Region Divisional Vice-President of Business Transformation and Alliance for Nissan AMIEO region (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, Oceania), developing and executing operational strategy in collaboration with other business functions as well as overseeing operational targets for the region. In addition, as President for India, he is responsible for Nissan’s overall India business in the country. He also manages Nissan’s Industrial Operations in Spain.
Mr. Torres manages the relationship with Nissan’s Alliance partners Renault and Mitsubishi Motors within the AMIEO region. He is a member of the Nissan AMIEO Management Committee reporting directly to the Chairperson of Nissan AMIEO.
In his previous role, he was responsible for turning around Nissan’s business in Russia and he has also played a leading role in the reindustrialization of Nissan’s manufacturing plants in Barcelona, Spain.
Mr. Torres joined Nissan in 2008 and has held various leadership roles in manufacturing, operations, corporate and strategy planning, and overseas program management. He has a strong track record of delivering sustainable profitability, market position and improved overall perception for Nissan in the region.
Mr. Torres has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MBA International from EUNCET - UPC. He has also completed the Executive Program in Global Strategy Management from Harvard Business School and the Advance Management Program from IESE Business School. He speaks Spanish, English, and French.
He hails from Barcelona, Spain and is married with one daughter. He is passionate about running and has participated in several endurance races and ultra marathons around the world.
