As a first-generation businesswoman and recipient of multiple high-profile recognitions including the ‘State-level Best Woman Entrepreneur Award’ from the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2010 and the ‘Business Achievement Award’ in 2011, she is the perfect role model for many entrepreneurial aspirants.
In the year 2020, 100 MSME women entrepreneurs were selected across the country to be posted in the MSME portal, Government of India as role models for other women, and she was one among them from Tamil Nadu.
