Ms. Priyababu is a dedicated advocate and influencer within the transgender community, showcasing a multifaceted career in social work, advocacy, and artistic expression. Currently serving as the Proprietor of Trans Publication, Admin of the "TranzMedia" YouTube channel, and Founder of the "Transgender Resource Center," Priya has been at the forefront of initiatives in trans-studies. Her extensive professional journey includes roles as an office support staff in organizations such as Mukthamber Trust, Dai Welfare Society, Tamil Nadu Aravanigal Association, and South India Aravanigal Rights Association. Notably, Priya actively participated in the formation of the South India Aravaigal Association, contributing to the human rights and economic development of the transgender community.
In the cultural sector, Priya served as a theatre artist at Sudar Foundation, using the medium to raise awareness about transgender issues. Her involvement extends to advocacy, including filing a writ in the Madras High Court for the voting rights of the transgender community.
She is also a prolific author, with numerous publications covering transgender sociology, rights, welfare, and social history. Priya's visual contributions include a TG anthem album song titled "Vanam Thandi" and the direction of a telefilm named "Arikandi."
