Mr. K. Mohan, the dynamic Co-Founder and CEO of Ippo Pay, stands as a serial entrepreneur renowned for his strategic opportunism and profound business acumen. With a comprehensive career spanning 15 years in the realms of business and technology, he has dedicated the last 4 years exclusively to the fintech sector.
His entrepreneurial journey commenced in 2008 when, after two years of IT work experience, he founded the software company "Roamsoft." What began with a single employee has now evolved into a thriving venture with over 50 employees. In 2018, Mr. Mohan ventured into the UAE, where he became the Co-Founder and CTO of Foloosi, a fintech enterprise licensed by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), one of the world's premier financial hubs. Foloosi secured $2.5 million in funding and consistently ranks among the top 15 fintech startups in the Middle East.
Returning to India with a vision to establish an Indian fintech startup, Mr. Mohan, alongside Mr. Jaikumar, Co-Founder and CTO, founded IppoPay in 2020. IppoPay, the first Payment Gateway in Tamil Nadu, garnered distinction for its UPI application, which became the inaugural one confirmed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in the state.
Under Mr. K. Mohan's leadership, IppoPay has facilitated transactions exceeding INR 1750 crores, achieving profitability within the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
