After graduation in the Science Major in 1971, took up training in Lakshmi Group, Coimbatore as a Management trainee. In 1973 joined LMW in Purchase department.
In 1974 moved to Madras to set up and head LMW’s Madras operations.
In 1982 set up the shipping and clearing Division and established the operations of Imports and Exports successfully and formed Lakshmi Cargo Company.
In 1994 moved to head Granite Division of LMW, as Chief Executive, operating quarries all over southern India and exporting granite to various European countries.
In 1997 moved to the LMW, Head Quarters at Coimbatore to head Purchase and Imports as General Manager (Commercial).
During 2000, as a Project Leader for Business Process Re-engineering, worked very closely with BCG.
Scope of operations expanded as Supply Chain Management department consisting of Sourcing, purchasing, imports, outside processing, logistics and the warehouse management and promoted as Vice –President Supply Chain Management.
In 2002, taken the responsibility as Project Director-E-vista & implemented Oracle 11i e-business suite in a year’s time. LMW, successfully moved to ERP from legacy systems with “big bang” approach & going live with all the modules together, switching off the legacy systems.
In 2009, did Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School, Boston, U.S. before moving to China.
In September 2009, moved to China as Chairman of LMW TEXTILE MACHINERY (SUZHOU) CO.LTD, CHINA. Established the China operations successfully by setting up a green field plant.
In 2015, moved back to India to lead Aerospace vertical- Advanced Technology Centre, Machine Tool Division & Foundry Divisions as President - MTD, Foundry & ATC.
From 1st November 2017 onwards, served in the board of LMW, designated as Director – Operations until July 2023.
Executive Committee Member of IMTMA (Indian Machine Tools Manufacturers Association).
Now, heading strategy for LMW designated as Chief Strategy Officer.
