Vipul Tuli oversees Sembcorp’s investments and key stakeholder relationships in South Asia, comprising India and Bangladesh, as well as the Middle East. He is concurrently CEO of Sembcorp’s global Hydrogen Business. He has been with Sembcorp since 2015 in various capacities, including as CEO and Country Head, India, and as Managing Director of Sembcorp’s renewables and thermal businesses in India. In this role, Mr. Tuli led the acquisition, growth and capability building of Sembcorp’s Indian renewable platform. He also led the stabilization and subsequent divestment of Sembcorp’s supercritical thermal assets in India.
In addition, Mr. Tuli chairs the Power Committee at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Hydrogen Working Group at the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS).
Mr. Tuli has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, spanning oil and gas, power, energy policy and regulation. Prior to joining Sembcorp, Mr. Tuli was a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Company, where he helped to build and lead its Asian energy practice.
Mr. Tuli holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He completed his post graduate studies in business management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
