Dr Senthil Raj is a qualified MBBS and brings this medical background to the field of public administration. He is a dedicated and accomplished professional who embarked on his career in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the 2012 batch. Combining a medical degree with administrative acumen, he has held significant roles at various levels, showcasing a unique blend of healthcare expertise and administrative leadership.
Dr Senthil Raj had earlier served as Collector of Thoothukudi (2020), and as Assistant Collector in Vellore District and in the capacity of Sub Collector in Tirupur and Hosur districts.
He was Mission Director, National Health Mission during 2019-2020 overlooking the State’s healthcare sector from the mission’s lens. In addition, during 2017-2019 period he was Project Director and Member Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Aids Control Society, Chennai.
