Mr. HAMADA started his career at the Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA) (Currently the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC)) in 1985 and until 2019.
During his career, he served as Director General for Policy Coordination, Minister's Secretariat, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) (2019)/ Deputy Governor of Osaka Prefectural Government (2017)/ and as Director General of the Department of General Affairs, Shimane Prefectural Government (2003).
After he retired MIC he has been the Governor of Kochi Prefecture since 2019 (currently in his second term).
Kochi Prefecture boasts a thriving primary industry that takes advantage of its rich natural environment.
It is home to companies with excellent technology in niche fields such as agricultural equipment used in primary industry, cement and paper that make use of natural resources, and electronic components. There are also companies that have advanced technology, especially in civil engineering-related fields, based on their experience in promoting disaster prevention and mitigation measures.
