Mr. Kang Jang Woong is the newly appointed Managing director of the POSCO representative office in Oragadam, Chennai. POSCO is a world global steel manufacturing company with its HQ based in Korea, having 45 subsidiaries around the world. The company has its steel manufacturing plant in Maharashtra, India, producing premium quality steel products to cater to the various needs of its customers, mainly in the automotive sector. There are four representative offices in India, It is Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
Mr. Kang worked as General Manager in the marketing division from 2011 to 2015 as a starting member of POSCO Maharashtra Steel which is the first production plant in India, established in 2011. After his first working experience as an expat, he came back to Korea to take charge of the marketing and sales division that supplies steel materials specialized for shipbuilding and construction equipment industries all over the world before he started his second expat life two months ago as Managing Director of POSCO Chennai steel processing Centre which provides all the variety of steel product coming from POSCO Korea, and POSCO Maharashtra. Right before he came to India he promoted POSCO's carbon neutrality plan in the future and secondary battery materials businesses which is the company’s one of the main areas of businesses in the next decades.
