Chief Representative of the NRW Global Business GmbH in India since 2021.
Under the current role, Ms. Ambika promotes the economic/trade and Investment relations between the state of North Rhine Westphalia, Germany, and India. In the year 2022, she supported various Indian companies in successfully establishing their operations in North Rhine Westphalia, Germany.
As a representative of NRW, she was instrumental in signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding- between Government of Karnataka, and Government of Duesseldorf, North Rhine Westphalia. This MOU covers the cross-innovation and Startup exchange programs.
In her previous role between 2011- 2021, Ms. Ambika worked as Senior Adviser, Political & Economic Affairs, at the German Consulate General, Bangalore. She has over ten years of experience in international and Government affairs through her advisory role in the German Diplomatic mission. She has worked closely with German as well Indian Industry federations and successfully handled high profile business and political delegations of Heads of State, to Germany and events which strengthened the Indo-German bilateral relations.
In her former position, as a representative of the German Consulate General, Bangalore; Ms. Ambika established collaboration between the Governments of Karnataka and Kerala on political and economic affairs. She also worked on the projects in the areas of Vocational Training, Startup cooperation and Industry Initiatives.
