Mr. Ramkumar Ramamoorthy has over 33 years of experience in the IT industry and academia. He spent over 28 years in the IT industry and worked with two of the largest private employers in India, Tata Consultancy Services and Cognizant. During his 22 years at Cognizant, he incubated and grew half a dozen portfolios and held various leadership positions including Executive Director, India and Chief Knowledge Officer. In 2020, he retired as Chairman and Managing Director of Cognizant India, responsible for the company’s operations with over 200,000 employees across 13 cities, and then founded Catalincs LLP, a tech advisory firm. He spent the first six years of his professional career as an academician and has been on academic leadership boards of several universities, national academic bodies and institutions of higher learning—including AICTE, IT/BPM Skill Sector Council of NASSCOM, VIT, CMI, XIM, the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, University of Madras and Krea University. Mr. Ramkumar has had long association with several trade bodies in India. He is a Past President of the 187-year old MCCI and a past national Vice-Chairman of AMCHAM, India, and has also worked closely with NASSCOM and CII.
