Dr. Subramani Ramakrishnan (Subbu) is the Vice President at UPS's Technology Centres in India. In this crucial role, he leads the charge in developing and expanding these technology centers. His primary focus is collaborating with global technology teams to ensure UPS delivers best-in-class digital experiences for its customers, employees, and partners. He reports directly to Bala Subramanian, the Executive Vice President and Chief Digital and Technology Officer at UPS, further highlighting the significance of his role in driving UPS's digital transformation.
With a career spanning more than 25 years across multinational corporations, Dr. Subbu brings extensive experience to his pivotal role. A key highlight in his professional journey is his tenure as Director at IBM India, where he led significant global projects, championed quality certification processes, and contributed to IBM's digital transformation. He also supervises global development service providers in India, complementing his role as the primary in-country technology liaison for UPS.
Dr. Subbu's academic background includes a Bachelor’s in engineering from the University of Madras, Post Graduation in Management from IIM Bangalore, MBA in Finance and Master’s degree in psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and a Doctorate in Crowdsourcing in Information Technology from Noorul Islam University. He engages academically as an author, adjunct faculty member, advisor. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Subbu enjoys historical exploration, engaging with Tamil literature, and mentoring.
