Ms. Sushma is a Managing Director and Partner with BCG. She leads BCG's work in agriculture in
India and is the Asia Pacific Lead for Climate & Sustainability in Agriculture & Food Systems. she has worked extensively in the Agriculture sector across all three types of players: government, private sector, and non-profit development organizations (such as BMGF, JICA, Omidyar Networks). She has worked with the Ministry of Agriculture across multiple topics such as Export & Organic Promotion Strategy, Agri Infra Fund, Digital Agri Stack, and Climate Adaptation & Resilience Roadmap for COP28, among others. She has worked with multiple state governments to identify to identify infrastructure investment opportunities across key crop cluster value chains, and with to design the Food Processing Policy.
Some of other notable work includes working with the Ministry of Animal Husbandry to enable farmers to connect with organized dairy networks. She has collaborated with both Public and Private Sector entities to devise strategies for advancing agricultural value chains through activities such as business establishment, market expansion, and sourcing strategies. Sushma is a seasoned management consultant with 15+ years of consulting experience in other domains such as commercialization, new business build, growth strategy and longer term transformations.
