Technical Textiles is the future of textile with myriad of applications across multiple industries mainly packaging and industrial textiles. India's annual technical textiles market is sized at $22 Bn and India is the 2nd largest MMF producer in the world.  

Tamil Nadu is the leading state in textiles, contributing to ~23% of India's textile export and home to the greatest number of functional textile parks, with India's 1st PM Mitra Park to be opened in Tamil Nadu. The state has also rolled out a unique first of its kind industrial policy on MMF and technical textiles to promote the industry.  

This session will focus on potential of Technical Textiles, the opportunities it presents and the imperatives for the state to grow this sector.
