As a global leader in advanced manufacturing technologies, Tamil Nadu ranks among the 13 global Advanced Manufacturing Hubs (AMHUB) designated by the World Economic Forum. The State’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem combines its R&D might, high availability of skilled talent, and cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies like Robotics, AI, ML, Cloud computing, IoT, etc.; to achieve greater efficiencies in manufacturing. Through a series of Government-led initiatives, the State actively promotes the use of advanced manufacturing technologies with several State-run Centres of Excellence that help industries access advanced manufacturing technologies and facilities for research and activities like prototyping.
