Embracing climate action through circular economy

Globally, only 7.2% of used materials are cycled back into our economies after use, and hence circular economy is one of the key focus areas for climate action.

The circular economy is one of the state priorities for Tamil Nadu, considering that it is the no. 1 industrialized state in India.

Tamil Nadu is the only Indian state to have formed a dedicated organization for climate action- TNGCC (Tamil Nadu Green Climate Company) with a dedicated funding of >$ 1.2 Bn.

This session focuses on discussing how circular economy can impact climate change and what are the structural enablers needed to truly embed circular economy into supply chains.
